April ---Easter

Once again it has been a crazy month, maybe the month and activities are not crazy, maybe it is just me. However, the weather truly has been crazy, cold and very wet. Lots of snow and rain. It seems we are never going to get spring. Winter has been lasting so long. Still, the grass is getting pretty green and we are seeing daffodils and tulips starting to pop up, but it just won't warm up.

One of the flower displays in Las Vegas. This was taken the last day I was there on the way out of the hotel. I didn't do any other sight seeing.

I had to go to Las Vegas for Med trade (trade show & conference for work). It was really quite boring, classes all day. I did get a chance to go to dinner with Lisa, Will and Liam. That was great! Liam is so cute and getting so big. The only other thing that was great about the trip was I found a massage chair at the show. OOOOOHHHHHHH, if I would have drove down there it would have been coming home with me. I am saving my money to buy it. It was awesome! It was made by The Human Touch. The salesman kept asking me if I was Ok, because it was so relaxing I must have had a really stupid look on my face. It was amazing. I could be a spokesman for them. I could not believe how great I felt after sitting in it for 10 minutes. i could have stayed it it for longer if they would have let me.

Lisa & Liam at Margaritaville.

We also finished redoing Katelyn's room in April. It looks great. Ryan does not like the color. I still need to get the curtains and wall art, lamps, and the rest of the furniture, but at least the girls are back in separate rooms again. It seemed like a long time to get this all done, but it looks great. Ryan is way critical of his work, but it looks really good. The walls are bright, Katelyn loves it.

The girls have started soccer, so the weather has cancelled a few practices. I hope they can make it all the games without having to cancel them. That is about standard for Cache Valley.

We did get a break in the weather for Easter, so the egg hunts were on. The girls had a great time at Grandma Norma's & Grandpa Jim's with cousins on Saturday and Sunday at Grandpa Kim's & Grandma Candace's with Alivia & Hailey. Then Monday Grandma Pam sent a package that made them so excited. So the fun just kept continuing for them, they loved it!

The girls in their Easter dresses that Grandma Pam gave them. So cute! They looked darling and so grown up. I can't believe how big they are getting.

March 2011 Lots of excitement in March including Katelyn's 7th Birthday

Ward ski night was March 4th at Beaver Mountain. We took the girls and when I say we, I mean Ryan. I went along, but I am the world's worst skier so I did not ski. This was Laci's second time and Katelyn's first time. I helped Katelyn for the first little bit on the "magic carpet" while Ryan went down with Laci. Then Laci found her friend Cassie and they raced down the mountain for the rest of the night. Overall it was a great night. Then it was time to go and Ryan and Laci came in and Laci was crying hysterically. She went off a jump going way too fast and landed on her butt. By the end of the night Katelyn was beat. But overall, it was a fun night for them. Maybe next time I will attempt snowboarding.

Katelyn havin' a blast!

Laci & Cassie Waiting in line for the lift.

Katelyn turned 7 on March 22nd. I can't believe my baby is seven. She gets mad when I call her my baby. It makes me so sad that my girls are growing up. I guess that is why my Mom had twelve children, she always liked having babies around.

The cake before it is frosted.

Katelyn won the Birthday Club on the radio.

Birthday breakfast...waffles with spray butter and a candle of course.

Striking a pose with Laci. Nice face Laci.

Katelyn decorated her own cake. It was a tye-dye cake. It tasted good and looked awesome, if I do say so my self.

The inside of the cake. So cool!

Katelyn wrapped herself up.

The free cat certificate and promise agreement.

Ryan has been promising Katelyn a cat. That is all she wanted for Christmas and that is all she was asking for for her birthday too. I really do not want a cat, one dog is more than enough animals for me. Ryan just kept saying what a good kid she has been and that we could use the cat as leverage. He gave her a certificate for her birthday that said "good for on free cat" and told her he would take her to pick out a cat on Saturday the 26th. Friday night we went to Petsmart and looked at cats. The entire time I am telling him I don't think this is a good idea. Oh, "but she has been so good", he kept telling me. He made her sign an agreement that said she would take care of the cat and do everything for it, or he would take it back. Saturday I had to work. Ryan took the girls to Petsmart. Katelyn called me at work and was so excited, she had found a cat. She told me it was grey and was so cute and they were going to get it. About 20 minutes later, Ryan called me and said Katelyn had been bit by a dog that was doing training at the store. He said she was fine, that it was just a scratch and did not puncture the skin. He said they were getting all the information form Petsmart and the owner. Animal Control came to the store to check everything out too. Ryan said as a precaution, he was going to take her to Instacare. He did and everything was fine. The dog was current on all its shots, Katelyn didn't have to get any shots. The doctor just cleaned it out really good, numbed it and bandaged it. Ryan called me when they were done at Instacare and told me they got a different cat, a grey/black stripe tabby. When I got home Katelyn and Laci were so excited about the cat they would not do anything but hold the cat. Rex did not know what to think of it, and neither do I. I still don't think this is a good idea.

The aftermath of the dog. :(

Another missing tooth. Too funny! She pulled almost everyone of them out herself.

Bad pic, but that is what you get when your zoom does not work. But an awesome event, my nephew Brayden won his second straight wrestling championship!

And last, but not least, Rex wondering why he can't come in the laundry room.

Winter 2010-11

It has been a long winter. It started out in November. On Thanksgiving morning, it was 15 below. We had a ton of snow. Then it all melted for Christmas. But, oh it was not going to end. More and More snow kept coming all through January and February and now even in March. It has been a long cold winter and I am about ready for the snow to be gone. I can't wait to get out and go running and get the girls out and about, not driving me nuts in the house. I really want to do better keeping up on my blog, so here it goes.

In November Ryan had his 15 year anniversary of at Autoliv. Laci and Katelyn also played their first year of Jr Mustang basketball. They were not so sure about this as they are loyal fans to there cousins at Sky View. I think they had a lot of fun and really improved over the 6 weeks of practices and games. I am not sure how I do not have 1 picture of Laci playing. :(

December went by so fast as it always does with the commercialization of Christmas. My wish for next Christmas is no gifts to be exchanged between family and friends and neighbors. Instead of gifts I think we should all just give to the food pantry or homeless shelters or some other worthy cause. I think it would make everyone in a lot better mood and we would could all just enjoy the time spent together talking and playing games. Really get back to the true meaning of Christmas. We had a wonderful celebration for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. What a fun and exciting occasion to be able to get together to celebrate such a great accomplishment. They are both amazing examples of love, hard work and devotion to everyone. I love them both and am so thankful for them!

January was a hard month. Ryan's Grandma Hazel passed away on the 14th. We were all very sad and will miss her dearly. I am sure she had a wonderful reunion with Homer. It is a comfort to know we will see her again someday.

February flew by. We were so busy with work and school. Laci and Katelyn started gymnastics this year and are keeping busy with that. They love it and it helps them get some of their energy out. Ryan and I started taking a class down at Autoliv every Wednesday night that will last 13 weeks. It is Financial Peace University. It is a class that Dave Ramsey does. If you have not heard of him, google him and you can find out a little bit more. It is great! I am so excited about it to finally get some knowledge about how to become debt free. It will be so nice to be able to say that one day soon. I can't wait to be there.

It is now the beginning of March and Ryan and I will be celebrating our 13th wedding anniversary on the 7th. I can't believe it has been 13 years. I love being married to him, he brings out the best in me. He is a wonderful husband and father. I am looking forward to many more years with him. Katelyn will be turning 7 on the 22nd. I can't believe my baby is getting so big. She has lost so many teeth this winter.

We are truly blessed with so many things. I love my husband and girls. We have such wonderful family and friends that help to make our lives complete. We are blessed with a nice house, clothes, food, jobs and vehicles. I am grateful to be a mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend. I know I have lots of room for improvement in all of these areas, and all I can say is I will do my best to improve in all. I truly could not ask for more.

Now that I have rattled on forever, I will upload some pictures of our winter fun.
